Fawcett, Farrah

    0.01 sec.

Fawcett (or Fawcett-Majors), (Mary) Farrah (Leni) (1947– )

US television and film actor popular during the late 1970s and early 1980s. She was especially known for her role in the 1970s television series Charlie's Angels, although she was only a regular on the programme for one season.

Her layered hairstyle became a major trend in the late 1970s after a poster of her in a red swimsuit sold some 12 million copies. Her film credits include Logan's Run (1976), Sunburn (1979), Saturn 3 (1980), and Cannonball Run (1981), none of which were critical or box office successes. She later acted in more successful films such as The Apostle (1997) and Dr T and the Women (2000). She also starred in several films made for television, including The Burning Bed (1984), a critically acclaimed drama about a woman who suffers years of domestic violence.
