EasterSpring feast of the Christian church, commemorating the resurrection of Jesus. It is a moveable feast, falling on the first Sunday following the full moon after the vernal equinox (21 March); that is, between 22 March and 25 April. The English name derives from Eostre, Anglo-Saxon goddess of spring, who was honoured in April.
