Fedoseyev, Vladimir (Ivanovich) (1932- )

Russian conductor. He graduated from the Moscow Conservatory in 1971 and made his debut with the Leningrad Philharmonic Orchestra. He was principal of the Academic Orchestra of Russian Folk Instruments 1959-74, and of the Moscow Radio Symphony Orchestra from 1974: he led them in concerts throughout Russia and on tours to Europe, including the UK. He was guest conductor with the Vienna and Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestras, performing Carmen at the Vienna Staatsoper in 1993. He conducted the Berlioz Faust with the Vienna Symphony Orchestra at the 1992 Bregenz Festival.
