Feldman, Jill (1952– )

US soprano. She studied musicology at Santa Barbara and has sung with early music groups in Europe and the USA. Her US opera debut was as Music in Monteverdi's Orfeo, in 1979, and her European debut was in Spoleto, in 1980, as Clerio in Cavalli's Erismena. She has performed in concerts with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants, including Charpentier's Médée in Paris in 1984. She sang in first modern revival of Marazolli's La Vita Humana in Glasgow in 1990. Her recordings include works by Charpentier, Rameau, and Cesti.
