Felix the Cat
| Cartoon-film character created by Australian cartoonist Pat Sullivan 1919. Felix, a perky and indestructible black cat, was the first cartoon character to make the crossing from screen to comic strip, appearing in his own newspaper strip 1923. The character was revived in the 1930s and 1960s by other artists. |
