Fennimore und Gerda

Opera in 11 pictures by Frederick Delius (libretto, in German, by the composer, based on Peter Jacobsen's novel Niels Lyhne), first produced in Frankfurt, Germany, on 21 October 1919. In the story, Erik and Niels love Fennimore. She marries Erik and thier relationship sours. Later Erik is accidentally killed; the last two pictures concentrate on Niels's romance with Gerda.
