Ferguson, Sarah Margaret (1959– )

Former member of the British royal family. She was married to Prince Andrew, Duke of York,

1986–96. They had two daughters, Beatrice (1988– ) and Eugenie (1990– ). She has since written books for children and an autobiography, My Story (1996), and has pursued a career in television presentation.

Ferguson was born in London, the second daughter of Major Ronald Ferguson of the Life Guards, and was brought up at Sunninghill in Berkshire. She had a brief career in publishing before her marriage to Prince Andrew. She became the US spokesperson for Weight Watchers International in 1997.
