Fernandez, Wilelmina (1949– )

US soprano. She studied at Juilliard and made her debut at Houston, in 1977, as Gershwin's Bess. She toured Europe and the USA in Porgy and Bess, and appeared as Musetta at the Paris Opéra in 1979. She also made appearances at the New York City Opera, and in Boston, Toulouse, and Liège as Aïda, Marguerite, Luisa Miller, and Donna Anna. She was in the film Diva and sang Carmen Jones in London in 1991.
