Ferrari, Enzo (1898-1988)

Italian founder of the Ferrari car-manufacturing company, which specializes in Grand Prix racing cars and high-quality sports cars. He was a racing driver for Alfa Romeo in the 1920s, went on to become one of their designers, and took over their racing division in 1929. In 1947 the first ‘true’ Ferrari was seen. Ferrari have won more world championship Grand Prix than any other team. In 2000 Michael Schumacher brought Ferrari their first Drivers' Championship since 1979.
