Fesch, Willem de (1687–1761)

Dutch violinist and composer. He was maître de chapelle at Antwerp Cathedral 1725–30, and in 1732 settled in London, England, where he became known as a violin teacher and composer of oratorios.

operetta The London 'Prentice, serenata Love and Friendship; oratorios Judith (1733) and Joseph (1745); sonatas for cello(s) and a large quantity of other chamber music.
