Ffestiniog

Village in Gwynedd, northwest Wales, 5 km/3 mi south of Blaenau Ffestiniog and 13 km/8 mi from Porthmadog; population with Blaenau Ffestiniog (1991) 5,300. The Ffestiniog Railway, the oldest independent railway company in the world, runs steam trains on a narrow-gauge track from Blaenau to Porthmadog.
