Fidenae

Ancient town in the Italian region of Latium, 8 km/5 mi north of Rome. The territory was disputed in early times by the Romans and the inhabitants of Veii, a city about 14 km/9 mi north of Rome, and the town was destroyed by the Romans 438 BC. It was rebuilt on account of its important location.
