Fidonet

In computing, early network of bulletin board systems (BBSs) which sent mail and news around the world via an arrangement whereby the individual systems call each other to exchange data every night. Such systems are called ‘store-and-forward’.

Vaughan's Blacknet is linked to Fidonet, which is also linked to AfroNet, a group of nationwide black-owned BBSs'.
