Filey

Seaside resort in North Yorkshire, England, 10 km/6 mi southeast of Scarborough; population (2001) 6,500. Filey has cliff gardens and sandy beaches, and a 12th-century Norman church.

A Roman signalling station was situated at Filey, part of a chain established along the east coast of England.
