Finck, Heinrich

Finck, Heinrich (1445–1527)

German composer. He was educated in the court chapel at Warsaw and at Leipzig University and held appointments at the Polish court c. 1492–1506, and then at the Court of Württemberg at Stuttgart until 1514. Later he lived at the Scottish monastery in Vienna, and worked at Salzburg cathedral.

Works

four Masses, motets, hymns and other church music, sacred and secular songs for several voices, songs to the lute.
