Fingers, Rollie

Fingers, Rollie (1946– )

US baseball pitcher. He was baseball's premier relief pitcher during his 17-year career. At the time of his retirement, he had saved 341 games – more than any pitcher in major league history. He was elected to baseball's Hall of Fame in 1992.

Born in Steubenville, Ohio, he played for the Oakland Athletics, San Diego Padres, and Milwaukee Brewers (1968–85).
