Finkelstein, Louis

Finkelstein, Louis (1895–1991)

US rabbi and educator. A professor of theology at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, he then became its chancellor. A member of many Jewish religious and cultural organizations, he wrote a number of books, including Faith for Today (1941).

Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he graduated from the City College of New York and gained his PhD from Columbia University.
