Flamborough Head

Prominent headland on the coast of the East Riding of Yorkshire, England, 3 km/2 mi east of the village of Flamborough. Flamborough Head is composed of chalk cliffs, which rise in places to a height of 120 m/394 ft. Formerly, beacons were lit on the clifftop; now a lighthouse, whose beam is visible at a distance of 34 km/21 mi, stands 65 m/213 ft above the high-water mark.

An ancient British earthwork, misleadingly called Danes' Dyke, runs across Flamborough peninsula, culminating at the Head.
