Chester Philharmonic Orchestra gives its first concert on November 10, playing Butterworth's On The Banks of Green Willow and Vaughan Williams Flos Campi and the Symphony is Berlioz's Harold in Italy.
He'll be playing Vaughan Williams's Flos Campi, originally composed for Tertis, at the Proms on Sunday.
But the main course was Vaughan Williams' Fifth Symphony, which has earned Handley a prestigious Gramophone Award on an earlier recording coupling it with Flos Campi.
