fluoroscopy

In medicine, a technique in which X-rays are rendered visible after they have passed through the body by projecting them on to a film or screen containing a fluorescent material using a fluoroscope. The technique allows the beating of the heart or the movements in the intestine after a barium meal to be observed and it can assist diagnosis of disease in these organs.
