Flushing Meadow

Tennis stadium complex in New York, NY, officially the National Tennis Center and home of the US Open championships since 1978. It is situated in the Queens borough of the city. The main court, the Arthur Ashe Stadium, is one of the largest in the world.

The year-long centenary celebration of Ralph Bunche's birth on 7 August 1903 has come full circle, in a sense, with the Queens Museum of Art's fascinating show, Ralph Bunche: Diplomat for Peace and Justice, in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York, from 11 April to 4 July 2004.
It will take place at Terrace on the Park in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park.
On Wednesday, April 19, 2006, at 1 pm, at the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park, the project partners will unveil three of the newly retrofitted trucks and demonstrate the effectiveness of the technology in reducing harmful pollutants from diesel exhaust.
