Fodor, Eugene (1950– )

US violinist. He studied with Ivan Galamian and Josef Gingold, and took master classes with Jascha Heifetz. He won the 1972 Paganini Competition at Genoa, and shared second prize at the 1974 Tchaikovsky International, in Moscow. He appeared in public concerts from the age of ten, with recitals at the White House in 1984 and 1986. He has also appeared with leading orchestras. Among his recordings is the Mendelssohn concerto.
