Fokker, Anton Hermann Gerard (1890–1939)

Dutch aeroplane builder. Fokker became an aviator at the age of 20. Throughout World War I he supplied the German military with biplanes and triplanes designed by Reinhold Platz. Briefly a naturalized German, he relocated to Holland in 1919 and then to the USA. Fokker's successful civil aircraft included the F-7, which were used in many early long-distance flights.
