Ford, Glenn (1916–2006)

Canadian-born US actor. He was active in Hollywood from the 1940s to the 1960s. Usually cast as the tough but good-natured hero, he was equally at home in westerns, thrillers, and comedies. His films include Gilda (1946), The Big Heat (1953), Human Desire (1954), Blackboard Jungle (1955), Jubal (1956), 3:10 to Yuma (1957), The Gazebo (1959), and Dear Heart (1965).

He was married to the actor Eleanor Powell (1912–1982) from 1943 to 1959.
