Chalk headlands projecting from the east coast of Kent, southeast England. North Foreland, with one lighthouse, lies 4 km/2.5 mi east of Margate; South Foreland, with two, lies 5 km/3 mi northeast of Dover. The headlands mark the eastern limit of the North Downs.
