Fort Valley

Town and administrative headquarters of Peach County, central Georgia; population (1990) 8,200. It is located 32 km/20 mi south-southwest of Macon. Fort Valley State College (1895) is in this peach and camellia growing centre, which also produces truck bodies and chemicals.
