Fostoria

Town in Seneca, Hancock, and Wood counties, northwest Ohio; population (1990) 15,000. It is located 56 km/35 mi south of Toledo. It is a trade and shipping centre for the surrounding livestock and farming area. Soybean processing, meatpacking, and grain milling are leading industries. Local manufactures include lighting fixtures, automobile and electrical equipment, steel wire, machine tools, and cement blocks.
