Foulis, Andrew (1712-1715)

Scottish printer. Foulis and his brother Robert ran a Glasgow printing business, specializing in producing fine editions of Greek and Latin classics, poetry, plays, and translations. In 1753 the brothers founded an academy for engraving and modelling in Glasgow, the expense of which was their ruin.
