Fountain, Ian (1969– )

English pianist. He studied at the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester, and performed widely in the USA and Europe from 1986. He was joint winner of the Rubinstein International Competition at Tel-Aviv in 1989, and made his concert debut with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 1990; his London recital debut was in 1991. He made his US debut in Savannah, Georgia, and has appeared further in Warsaw, Berlin, Madrid, and Pasadena.
