Fountain Valley

Town in Orange County, southwest California; population (1990) 53,700. It is located 45 km/28 mi southeast of Los Angeles. While primarily residential, it has laboratory and medical equipment industries and makes tools, aerospace fittings, and various other products. A Naval Reserve helicopter facility is in the town.
