Four Sea Interludes

Concert work by Benjamin Britten, derived from his opera Peter Grimes (first performed in London, 1945). The four sections are titled Dawn, Sunday Morning, Moonlight, and Storm; the work was first performed in Cheltenham, England, on 13 June 1945.

The orchestra had opened with the Four Sea Interludes and Passacaglia from Britten's opera Peter Grimes, Venzago shaping a storm-tossed North Sea.
