Expansion at Hamriyah and Sajaa plants has included replacement of some of the fractionation columns, installation of a new turbo-expander and a new system improving the recovery of liquids. It had banned the import by or sale to Libya of refinery equipment, including boilers, furnaces, fractionation columns, pumps, catalytic reactors, and prepared catalysts - as well as spare parts for almost all equipment in the oil sector. The project, which is set to be complete by August, 1998, will involve enlarging the plant by just one additional fractionation column. |
