Frankenmuth

Town in Saginaw County, south-central Michigan; population (1990) 4,400. It is situated on the Cass River, 19 km/12 mi southeast of Saginaw. Settled in 1845 by Germans, it was a flour milling centre, and is noted for its beer and wine production. It has a June Bavarian festival, with much attention to crafts.
