Frankfurt Parliament

Assembly of liberal politicians and intellectuals that met for a few months in 1848 in the aftermath of the revolutions of 1848 and the overthrow of monarchies in most of the German states. They discussed a constitution for a united Germany, but the restoration of the old order and the suppression of the revolutions ended the parliament.
