Fraserburgh

Seaport in Aberdeenshire unitary authority, Scotland, on the south side of Kinnaird's Head, west of Fraserburgh Bay, 60 km/37 mi north of Aberdeen; population (2001) 12,500. It is a major fishing centre. Originally called Faithlie, the town's name was later changed in honour of its founder, Fraser of Philorth.
