Frishmuth, Harriet Whitney (1880–1980)

US sculptor, known for her graceful figure studies, as in The Vine (1921). Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she enjoyed a cosmopolitan career, studying with fellow sculptors Auguste Rodin in Paris and Gutzon Borglum in New York City, while also working for periods in Berlin, Germany, and her home town of Philadelphia.
