Frohman, Daniel

Frohman, Daniel (1851–1940)

US theatre manager, responsible for a number of New York theatres, including the Madison Square, the Lyceum, Daly's, and his own 1902 reconstruction of the Lyceum, where he had a stock company. Frohman was also one of the first producers of moving pictures. Born in Sandusky, Ohio, he was the brother of fellow theatre manager Charles Frohman.
