Fry, Christopher Harris

Fry, Christopher Harris (1907-2005)

English dramatist. He was a leader of the revival of verse drama after World War II with A Phoenix Too Frequent (1946), The Lady's Not for Burning (1948), Venus Observed (1950), and A Sleep of Prisoners (1951). His later works include Curtmantle (1962) and A Yard of Sun (1970).

He has also written screenplays and made translations of works by French dramatists Jean Anouilh and Jean Giraudoux.
