Full Monty, The

British film released in 1997. Critically acclaimed and commercially successful, the low-budget comedy film is about a group of unemployed Sheffield men who find communal values and renewed self-confidence in their efforts to put together a male strip show. The film was written by Simon Beaufoy and directed by Peter Cattaneo; its cast includes Robert Carlyle, Tom Wilkinson, and Mark Addy.
