Fundy National Park

Canadian national park; area 206 sq km/80 sq mi. It is situated on the north of the Bay of Fundy, at the entrance to Chignecto Bay, 56 km/35 mi south-southwest of Moncton, New Brunswick. It contains 80 km/50 mi of hiking trails. Tides average 9 m/29 ft in the park area. Wildlife includes moose, bobcat, black bear, and large numbers of migrating birds. Alma, to the southeast of the park in Albert County, is its administrative headquarters; population (1991) 300.
