The funeral Mass was preceded by a 15-minute eulogy by the non-Catholic Chief Justice of Ontario, Roy McMurtry, the very one who in June 2003 (then as a justice of the Ontario Court of Appeal) ruled that same-sex 'marriage' is a 'right,' and the traditional definition of marriage is unconstitutional. Jeffrey Glick was among the many mourners at the funeral mass. The remote possibility of unexpected major church reforms notwithstanding, this means, of course, that I would not have a funeral Mass. |
