| Opera by Ignaz Holzbauer (libretto by A Klein), first produced for the court in Mannheim, Gemany, on 5 January 1777. It tells how Günther battles with Karl for control of the Holy Roman Empire, finally being poisoned by Karl's mother. The opera was admired by Mozart. |
