Galvin, Pud (James Francis) (1856-1902)

US baseball pitcher. One of the game's great pioneers, the stocky right-hander won 361 games during his 14-year career (1879-92), mostly with Buffalo and Pittsburgh. He was elected to baseball's Hall of Fame in 1965. He was born in St Louis, Missouri.
