Gardena

Town in Los Angeles County, southwest California; population (1990) 49,800. It is 16 km/10 mi south of Los Angeles city centre, in an area west of Compton that was an agricultural region well into the 20th century. It has nurseries, and manufactures aircraft and electronic components. Gambling casinos draw visitors.
