Garforth

Town in West Yorkshire, England, 11 km/7 mi east of Leeds; population (2001, Garforth and Swillington) 23,900. Its location on the Leeds–York railway line has contributed to Garforth's development as a dormitory town for Leeds. As a result, it is largely residential, with a large shopping centre.
