Garmisch-Partenkirchen

Town in Bavaria, Germany, located at the confluence of the Loisach and Partnach rivers and close to the Austrian border, 94 km/58 mi south of Munich; population (1994) 85,400. Nearby is the peak known as the Zugspitze (2,963 m/9,721 ft); Garmisch-Partenkirchen is a major Alpine skiing resort and health centre, and hosted the 1936 Winter Olympics.

Marshall European Center for Security Studies, opened the four-day conference in Garmisch, Germany last month by telling approximately 0 participants that cyber security is among the most important security issues facing society today.
This work was preceded by a preliminary report presented at the Collegium Ramazzini in Carpi, Italy (October 2000), by testimony to the Governmental of Israel Commission of Inquiry on the Kishon (January 2001), and as an abstract presented at the Conference of the International Society for Environmental Epidemiology, Garmisch, Germany (September 2001).
Marshall European Center for Security Studies, located in Garmisch, Germany, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary after being created in 1992 when Dick Cheney was Defense Secretary in the first Bush administration.
