gas lawsPhysical laws concerning the behaviour of gases. They include Boyle's law and Charles's law, which are concerned with the relationships between the pressure (P), temperature (T), and volume (V) of an ideal (hypothetical) gas. These two laws can be combined to give the general or universal gas law, which may be expressed as: The laws state that gas pressure depends on the temperature and volume of the gas. If the volume of a gas is kept constant, its pressure increases with temperature. When a gas is squeezed into a smaller volume, its pressure increases. If the pressure of a gas is constant, its volume increases with temperature.
