Gautier

Town in Jackson County, southeast Mississippi; population (1990) 10,100. It is situated on the Gulf of Mexico west of the mouth of the Pascagoula River, 6 km/4 mi west of Pascagoula and 21 km/13 mi west of the Alabama state line. Largely a resort and retirement town, it has a community college.
