Genesee County

County in southeast Michigan; area 1,663 sq km/642 sq mi; population (1990) 430,500. The Shiawassee and Flint rivers flow through the county. Its administrative headquarters is Flint. It is an agricultural and industrial region, with heavy manufacturing at Flint, in the centre of the county. Fruit, vegetables, livestock, poultry, grain, beans, and sugar beets are raised.
