Gero, Jhan (lived 1540-55)

Franco-Flemish composer. He lived in Venice, Italy, and was connected with the music printers Antonio Gardane (Gardano; 1509-1569) and Girolamo Scotto (1505-1572). He composed motets, madrigals, and a highly successful book of duos, published in 1541.
